Suggestions for Corfu beaches and More

 

All west coast beaches are sandy beaches while the east coast, some of them are sandy and some with little stones.

Personally I prefer Kontogialos beach at the centre of the island. The beach is located 15 kms from the city of Corfu at the west coast.

The sunset at kontogialos is amazing. Prefer Bodega bar for free parking and chill out atmosphere, Nagual beach bar for eating a brunch or a dinner and Naftis beach bar for free parking as well and dinner at night.

Visit also Gialiskari beach next to kontogialos. Amazing feeling swimming on this beach. Spent your day there and eat fresh fish on the restaurant. It is a unique little beach.

 

Go to Kalami beach and visit the Darrell’s house fro the famous movie.

Next of Kontogialos is the famous beach of  Glyfada. I prefer to go at the left hand side where is lees crowdie.

 

For virgin beach visit Chalikounas at Tayo and Issos beach. Ther you will find many surfers and kite surfers.

 

Palaiokastritsa is famous for its monastery, the beautiful beach with cold waters and the beautiful caves that you can visit with boat or with sea bicycle.

 

Lakones is the fabulous village above Palaiokastritsa with amazing view. Visit Dolce cafe at lakones and enjoy the views.

Palaiokastritsa and la grota beach bar (where James Bond movie shot) or Akron restaurant are amazing choices.

 

Go to Kalami beach and visit the Darrell’s house fro the famous movie.

 

Sunset is amazing at Afionas village. One of the most beautiful villages in North West corfu. Eat at Anemos restaurant and swim at Agios Georgios Pagon. If you like adventure visit the twin beach of Porto timoni. Its unique !!!

 

 

Visit Corfu old town and eat souvlaki at Pane e souvlaki , ice cream at Papagiorgis and cocktail at Mikro cafe or Azure. Visit Imabari bar at night for a wine or Liston area.
